Company investing $66.8 million in six new Hampton County solar projects

Jasper County lands $2.5 million investment from carousel manufacturer

OCT. 23, 2015 — A leading manufacturer of customized and rebuilt carousels for industrial applications will move operations to Ridgeland where an affiliate plans to build a 40,000 square-foot facility, state officials announced Thursday. The $2.5 million investment by AS/R Systems Inc., will generate 11 new jobs.

Nupi Americas, Inc., to start warehousing, distribution operations

Over the next five years, the business is expected to generate 37 new jobs, according to state officials

OCT. 14, 2015 | Bamberg County is among several South Carolina’s counties that are eligible for Physical and Economic Injury Disaster Loans from the U.S. Small Business Administration. On Tuesday, the SBA also added three other Promise Zone counties — Allendale, Barnwell and Hampton — to the list of counties for which small businesses and most private nonprofit organizations can apply for SBA Economic Injury Disaster Loans of up to $2 million.
